HIGHLIGHTS: Andean culture – Walking on a Inka trail with Llamas- Andean flora and fauna – Tour of the most enigmatic Mountain the Apu Pariacaca – Outside the traditional tourist circuits.

Overview

The “Reserva Paisajistica Nor Yauyos Cochas“ Is located in the Central Andes of Perú.
The RPNYC represents the space for the protection of flora and fauna, as well as the Mountain ranges such as Pariacaca and Yauyos.
This is a magnificent territory full of amazing landscapes and living Andean cultures that remain living around the sacred Mountains.
The Ancient cultures that lived in this area was doing ceremonies to the Apus (Sacred Mountains). Then the Inkas built roads to connect the settlements between the Mountains and coordinate the ceremonies to their Gods.
Our adventure is to walk in this Inka trail crossing lakes and Sacred Mountains, allthis with the support of Llamas carrying our Mountain equipment.


*This circuit start in Huancayo city, then to Pachacayo, Shacshamarca, from then we start the Inka trail walking to Mulllucocha and down to Tanta or Vilca.

Itinerary

Day 1: Huancayo or Lima city – Pachacayo community – Canchayllo community – Corivinchos archaelogical site – Shutjo canyon.

Day 2: Corivinchos archaelogical site – Shacshamarca high pass – Escalera lake – Cave of Cuchimachay with ancient paintings.

Day 3: Cave of Cuchimachay with ancient paintings. – Mullucocha Lake – Atarhuay Lake (Best view of Pariacaca Mountain).

Day 4: Atarhuay Lake (Best view of Pariacaca Mountain) – Mullucocha Lake – Pirca Pirca archaeological site – Tanta Andean community.

Day 5: Tanta Andean community- Tanta waterfalls – return to Huancayo or Lima.

*Option of get outside in the third day to Vilca and Huancaya to enjoy the Cañete waterfalls later back to Huancayo or Lima city.

INCLUDE

  • Arriero or Llama man that conduce our Llama team.

  • Llamas for carrying our Mountain equipment. Maximum weight for a Llama is 25 kilos.

  • Horse for emergency from the second day.

  • First helps equipment and coordination in emergency evacuation.
