Overview

Ascent to the Nevado Pariacaca south 5750m, sacred Apu in the Andean worldview, located in the Pariacaca Cordillera, Central-Western Cordillera of the Peruvian Andes.

Ascent on the eastern slope, which combines a short but vertical approach to the base camp.

It is a technically moderate climb, with excellent views of the entire Cordillera, a magical experience for all those who know the energy and magic of this sacred Apu.

Our adventure will last 4 days, starting from Huancayo, the ascent will be of the alpine type; light and fast.

Our service is focused on the safety and enjoyment of the climber in the ascent, providing extensive knowledge of the area, along with the culture and traditions that lives there.

Itinerary

Day 1 : APROXIMATION

Departure from Huancayo early in the morning, with our private mobility we will go to Pachacayo, from there we will enter the Nor Yauyos Cochas Landscape Reserve “RPNYC” we will continue the route until we reach Moyobamba 4500m approx., from there we will begin our approach to the base camp from Apu Pariacaca 5020m approx. rest and spend the night.

Day 2 :BASE CAMP

This day will be a day of rest and adaptation to the altitude, we will prepare all our Mountain equipment, we will practice climbing and rescue techniques, we will observe the Mountain conditions and we will continue to pay attention to the conditions of each participant. We will perform a ceremony to our Apu Pariacaca and rest for the day of climbing.

Day 3 :SUMMIT DAY

Approximately at 02:00 AM we will get up to prepare our ascent, a good breakfast will keep us ready for the climb, we will leave at approximately 03:00 AM in the direction of the East glacier of Apu Pariacaca, we will cross the glacier in a southerly direction, until the beginning of the southern ridge -East, to continue to the eastern edge of the Apu Pariacaca south, a few mixed steps and we will be able to reach the summit that rises into the air on some granite towers.

Descent along the same route and rest at base camp.

Day 4 :RETURN

After a good rest we will get all our equipment ready, we will descend to the road, passing over the Tullujuto lagoon until we reach Moyobamba again, where our mobility will be for the return to Pachacayo and from there to Huancayo.

* All the information in the itinerary could vary according to the weather, social protests (road blockades), physical or mental conditions of the participants.

* The maximum range of participants is 4 and the range is 2 persons per Guide.

How to book

A deposit of 35% must be made to confirm the reservation;

The balance must bepaid in dollars or soles (local currency). The total payment must be made no later than 5 days before the start of the trek. In case of non-payment of the balance within the given time, Hidden Perú reserves the right to cancel the reservation. The deposit previously paid and invested in the preparation of the trek are not refundable. The balance settled, no refund is possible because the final budget of the entire trek is definitely invested.

Important notes

It maybe that changes happen the day before or the day of departure. It is depending on the bad weather, the state of the roads and strikes likely to disturb the organization of the hike or to make it dangerous. In these circumstances, Hidden Perú offers you an alternative: either dates or different circuits.

Tourists have an obligation to inform us of their state of health and must bring their own medicines.
